By downloading, installing, or using CheckPrep (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
CheckPrep grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial study purposes. This license does not include the right to modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App or its content.
The study materials in CheckPrep are based on publicly available FAA Airman Certification Standards (ACS) and related FAA publications. These materials are intended as supplementary study aids only. While we strive to keep all content accurate and current, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any study material, question, answer, reference, or regulatory citation within the App.
Federal Aviation Regulations, the Aeronautical Information Manual, Advisory Circulars, and other FAA publications are subject to change by the FAA at any time. Users are responsible for verifying all information against current official FAA publications and should consult with a certified flight instructor (CFI) or designated pilot examiner (DPE) for authoritative guidance.
CheckPrep is a study tool designed to help you prepare for FAA checkride oral examinations. Use of this App does not guarantee passage of any FAA practical test, oral examination, knowledge test, or flight review. Checkride outcomes depend on many factors beyond the scope of this App, including but not limited to flight training, practical skills, examiner discretion, and individual preparation. CheckPrep makes no representations or warranties regarding examination outcomes.
CheckPrep is an independent study tool developed by Robert Rousey. CheckPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), or any other government agency. All FAA regulatory and reference content within the App is sourced from official, publicly available U.S. government publications, which are in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. Section 105.
CheckPrep offers content packages and features available for purchase through Apple’s App Store using Apple’s in-app purchase system (StoreKit). All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.
All in-app purchases are non-consumable and one-time. Once purchased, content packages are permanently associated with your Apple ID and can be restored on any device using the Restore Purchases feature.
Pricing for content packages is set at our discretion and is subject to change. The current price of any package is displayed in the App’s Store section at the time of purchase. Price changes do not affect previously completed purchases.
Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s refund policies. Please contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.
From time to time, CheckPrep may offer content packages at reduced prices or free of charge for promotional purposes, including but not limited to early access periods, introductory offers, or limited-time promotions.
Early access and promotional pricing are temporary and subject to change or discontinuation at any time without advance notice. Access to content provided during an early access or promotional period may require a purchase at the then-current price once the promotional period ends. No user is entitled to permanent free access to any content package based on having downloaded or used the App during a promotional period, unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of the promotion.
CheckPrep’s original content, including but not limited to study questions, answers, distractor options, user interface design, app structure, and branding, is the intellectual property of Robert Rousey and is protected by applicable copyright laws.
FAA regulations, the Aeronautical Information Manual, Advisory Circulars, FAA Handbooks, Letters of Interpretation, and Information for Operators (InFOs) included in the App are U.S. government publications in the public domain.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from CheckPrep’s proprietary content without prior written permission.
CheckPrep is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate, reliable, or current at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall CheckPrep, its developer, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the App, reliance on any study materials provided, or any checkride, examination, or flight training outcome.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App or any content at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
